Well we are only half way through the week and there has been plenty of news so far, the arrests of officials from FIFA over corruption inquiries, Toyota being voted the most valuable car brand and the Queens speech.  What next, someone having found a hidden group of dealership Technicians?

Steve and Martin have just came back from a presentation at New College Durham to a group of motor vehicle students and were encouraged that some of these young people knew exactly what they wanted to do in the motor industry.  Over the years many employers have been left with bad experiences of apprentices, but it appears there is some good potential out there for employers who are prepared to invest in them.  If you are going to be looking for a motor vehicle apprentice this year then give us a call.

As Toyota and Nissan announce yet another recall we have decided to do one of our own.  Having been placing candidates for over 20 years, we are curious to know who the longest placed person is who still works for the company we helped them get into.  We know of someone who has been with the company for 10 years, we would love to know if anyone else has been there for longer?  Please get in touch, it would be nice to hear from you.

It’s hardly likely to have escaped anyone’s attention that we are all suffering election fever, but which party will win the race or more likely which 2 parties? Whoever gets the keys to number 10 is unlikely to radically change the motor industry in the short term, so cast your votes wisely and just maybe in a few years from now we will all be so much better off.  And if you believe that you’ll believe that there are Technicians queuing up for new jobs.

With the sad demise of Keith Harris, we understand there is currently a mute bird looking for a new partner, is there anyone who would like to put their ‘hand up’ for the position?  As another bank holiday is upon us, we hope everyone enjoys the long weekend off.  Unfortunately, for many of you motor trade people you will be working, so we hope it’s going to be a profitable one for you all.

Clearly there is speculation within the royal circle whether Kate and William are going to give birth to a boy or a girl; we just hope she has a Technician as it is getting even more difficult these days to find such a rare breed.  Now that the suns out, all you Sales Managers will be rubbing your hands as the sale of convertibles will be on the rise.  Reports show that the Mercedes Benz SLK is the most searched for convertible at the minute, so good commissions to be had in that brand.

Having just read the What Car report that Honda has again retained its crown of maker of the most reliable car, it has got us thinking how reliable we are.  Did you realise we can be contacted 12 hours a day, 7 days a week, we have also been around since 1993, we offer total confidentiality, guarantee we interview all suitable candidates and as well as being reliable, our service is free to candidates.  So if people buy Japanese cars based on reliability, what would stop you from choosing the most reliable recruitment agency to help you through your career?

Although we are only 3 months into 2015, the signs of recovery in the North East seem to be good.  Vacancies registered with ourselves are up 33% compared to March last year and the number of candidates placed is up 11%.  National news also reports new car registrations are up 6% which does seem to stack up with demand for staff.  Now with the mad month of March behind us, April is a great time for anyone looking for a job.
