Apparently online car sales could cost 27,000 UK automotive sales jobs by the year 2027, although it is a decade a way it seems that customers are now becoming more confident at buying online. One in five cars will be bought online by 2027 and nearly £1.5bn worth of sales will have moved online by 2020. This is happening because automotive retailers are changing their online platforms to adjust to the customer’s needs, so what is going to happen to the traditional Car Sales Executive in motor dealerships? On the positive side, that still gives 10 years of opportunity for good Sales Executives to find jobs via Ingenia.

It won’t be long until 2017 school leavers will be leaving school and only returning for their exams, once these exams are over the young people will be making a very big decision that will affect their career. As most of you are aware we are in desperate need of high quality, raw talent youngsters in our industry. So could we ask you all to keep sharing our new motor trade apprenticeship website with you family, friends, contacts and even your children. The links are found below:
A new month is upon us already and this year just seems to be flying over. Judging from the conversations we had with managers April has been a tough month for them, especially on new cars. Easter could have had an effect on the aftersales department with it being a feast and faming month. Hopefully customers this month are looking to spend money on new vehicles and May turns out to be good for you all. On our side the search for candidates remains strong as we have some great vacancies from local companies, so if you are looking for a move then now is a good time to do it. Head over to our website and check out what’s on offer.
The UK looks set to test driverless cars in 2019 on British motorways between London and Oxford, hopefully all goes well and we can eventually get into cars without having to drive. If driverless cars don’t tickle your fancy well how about FLYING cars! Uber have today announced that they will be testing out flying cars in the USA and Dubai by 2020. How exciting is all of this technology happening in the next few years! Could we also ask people to keep sharing out the NEMTA website for apprentices, links are found below:
Now that the first long bank holiday weekend of the year is over and everyone is back to the grind, we hope you all had a good one and overdosed on Easter Eggs but don’t worry we are only working one full week until the next bank holiday.
Easter weekend is finally upon us and I am sure most of you are looking forward to an extra long weekend off (let’s hope it’s a sunny one), for those of you who have to work we do hope that it’s a busy time to make it all worthwhile. We hope you all have a fabulous weekend and don’t eat too many Easter Eggs.
It looks like March has been an excellent month for the new car market as 562,337 17-plate cars was registered, which is a 8.4% increase compared to March 2016. Quarter 1 has also been a record quarter with an increase of 6.2% compared to 2016. The new VED charges have come into power that means that every new car registered from the 1st April 2017 will now have to face a standard annual charge of £140 a year after the first year of ownership or £450 per year if your vehicle costs over £40,000.
Ingenia would like to thank everyone who has shared our new apprenticeship website but we would like everyone to keep sharing it with friends and family as we need as many young people as possible to be aware of it.
March has been a busy old month but the end is finally here, we hope you all have reached your targets for the month and earned yourselves a nice little bonus. As most of you know we have also created new motor trade apprenticeship website (NEMTA), we would like to thank everyone who has shared the links but we can’t stress enough the importance of making sure as many young people see it as possible. Please keep sharing it as we have had very good response so far, thank you all again.
We would like to thank everyone who shared the new North East Motor Trade Apprenticeship website but we still need many, many more young people to be made aware of the opportunities that are available in the motor industry. Please could you share the following links with friends/family/contacts and thank you again.
Ingenia Recruitment has just launched their very own motor trade apprenticeship website, aimed at boys and girls aged 14+ who may consider a career in the retail motor industry. The website is aimed at young people in the North East of England and to show them the exciting career opportunities that the motor trade offers. If you know any young people either yourself or via friends and relatives then, send them the following link… www.northeastmotortradeapprenticeships.co.uk share it with as many people as you can as young people in schools get very little unbiased careers advice.
