Cameroon have blocked the internet in English speaking parts of the country, this means that 20% of the country is affected. Steve is wondering whether to take his summer holiday there to find Technicians and productives as it seems they have no telephone or internet connection when he tries to contact them.

As most of you know the new rules for vehicle tax comes into force on the 1st April 2017, meaning that after the first year of ownership people will face a standard rate annual charge of £140 a year. Vehicles costing over £40,000 will incur an additional annual charge of £310 with owners facing a VED charge of £450 a year. The good news is dealers should be busy selling new cars before the new tax rules come into force. The bad news is that it will cost owners of vehicles more to tax them, even though the government encouraged us to buy low emission vehicles. Now what’s the point if all vehicle tax is going to be the same, you might as well go out and buy your dream car.
Snowmageddon is on the horizon as temperatures are set to drop in the coming days. Good news for bodyshops as the inevitable accidents but unfortunately for those who have rear wheel drives and no winter tyres, well… Good Luck! Who knows someone might see Steve at the side of a road pulling out hair he hasn’t got.

Today is the second day of rail strikes in the south of the country, with talks underway to try a solve the fiasco over changes of the role of conductors BUT now British Airways cabin crew have voted overwhelmingly for strikes. We do hope that all of this doesn’t disrupt any of you travelling over the Christmas period. Luckily Ingenia never have strikes and to celebrate Christmas we are posting a job a day for the next 12 days, our own 12 days of Christmas, so that you can start your new year with a new job. Keep an eye out on our website, Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter to see what jobs we have.
On the second day of Christmas Ingenia sent to me
Two Sales Administrators filing
and a Parts Manager stock taking.
From Steve’s discussions with managers it looks like the market especially used sales and service is buoyant at the moment which will be a relief for any managers who are just about on target. November UK van sales figures show a 20 year record with 29,784 units sold and Black Friday also saw a surge of car sales and enquiries. According to the analysis of sales data, Friday 25th November (Black Friday) was 23% higher than on Friday 18th and 17% higher than Friday 11th November. Let’s hope this makes 2016 a good year for you all.
Well here we are, last day of the month again and its advent calendars at the ready, if you have a good boss then he or she will have bought you one. That said that’s about as far as Steve goes where Christmas spirit is concerned, he won’t even let us finish early on Christmas Day unless we can interview 4 Sales Executive, 3 Panel Beaters, 2 Technicians, 1 Sales Administrator and a partridge in a pear tree. Please please help us poor staff and get your interview booked now.
