Trainer/Tutor in Tyne and Wear – FT6650 Full Time

We have a rare opportunity for an experienced Vehicle Technician, who would like to train young people in the basics of motor vehicle technology. This is a full time position, where you will be responsible for:

• Setting up the workshop for practical sessions.
• Demonstrating basic vehicle systems.
• Supervising students completing practical tasks.
• Providing guidance, training and feedback to students.
• Completing basic session reports on students.

In this job you will train 14 – 19 year olds in small groups of 4 – 5 students.

Applicants must be IT literate, numerate, literate and have excellent communication skill to be considered for this position.

The ideal candidate will be qualified to NVQ Level 3 and either have a relevant qualification to teach young people, or be prepared to undertake such a qualification.

You must be fully conversant with all current vehicle systems, in order to be able to coach these.

Having teaching/coaching experience is highly desirable, but is not essential.
