• Communicating with colleagues and customers.
• How to manage and maintain their CPD.
• Carrying out pre-test checks.
• Carrying out an MOT test.

• Developing staff and how to manage driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA) test centre quality audits.
• Managing legislative and compliance requirements of a vehicle test centre.
• Managing the service offered to customers.

This will be required if you don’t currently have a recognised level 3 qualification. You will cover:

• Brakes.
• Suspension.
• Steering.
• Wheels and tyres.
• Emissions.
• Electrics.

• Understanding and use of new testers manual.
• Improvement of test quality, using information from annual and initial assessments as well as information from compliance examination.
• Use of Test Quality Information as well as how to ensure that users details are kept up to date on the MOT Testing Service.
