What to do During the Interview
While in the interview you need to show the employer that you are the right person for the job, not just on paper but with your personality and the way you conduct yourself, remember you need to be the right person to fit into a company you’re not alone. Some of the things you will need to consider are.
Body language
Maintain good eye contact with the interviewer and use his name when appropriate. It is not what you say but how you say it. During the interview do not cross your arms and lean back or look to the floor. Sit upright, use your hands and lean forward when making a point. Many people cannot think and control their body language at the same time this is why you need to prepare
Keep the phone off
Not only is it bad manners but if your phone rings in the middle of an interview it will be embarrassing for you. The interviewer will likely take a dim view of you as well.
A smile didn’t hurt anyone
I know that the thought of an interview can be quite scary for some but try and stay positive, smile and learn from the experience. The interviewer will be thinking about what it will be like to work with you so make sure you show the employer that you are enthusiastic and easy to get along with.
